Malcolm Betts is a New York based curator, visual and dance artist, who believes that art is a transformative vehicle to bring people and communities together. Betts is currently working on his debut showcase titled, Black Bodies Down: A Depiction of Black and Brown Masculinity. He curated an artistic development program titled Black Spaces (http://blkspaces.weebly.com). He has studied at Earl Mosley's Institute of the Arts, participated in Dancing in the Street’s Dance and Social Practice Incubator, and was a creative collaborator for the marketing campaign, HIV Stops With Me and Mershia Mesihovic's BOSNIANBORN *SHE IS A REFUGEE STAR. Betts is participating in LANDING a choreographic mentorship program at Gibney Dance Center.
