A place of possibility. A blanket of comfort. A labor of my love. To imagine a world where my Black body can exist at full capacity. I indulge in colors + textures + making as survival. To control my nervous system from going into panic- me being in conversation with materials both in and out my body.
Every Piece is one of a kind
Every garment is a white base. I dye the garments with color and soda ash. After drying I use paints to create more detailed images. Each process takes about 1-4 weeks to finish.
You can wash the garments as is. The dye won’t run. Over time the colors/dye will fade. Drying shrinks the material of the cotton. It’s okay to dry in the dryer.
